Cleaning Shortcuts to Save You Time

cleaning-surface-with-spray-and-sponge

Especially now that we’re all home in self-isolation, many of us are reaching for our rubber gloves and favorite cleaning products to give our home a good scrubbing. But you don’t want to spend the entire day washing windows and flushing drains, do you? We didn’t think so.

That’s why we’re here with some of the best cleaning shortcuts so you can finish the job quickly and get back to binging your favorite shows.

Spot Clean

This is a bit of a preventative tip. When you notice a small spill on the floor or sticky spot on the counter, clean it up right away. It’ll be much easier and quicker to resolve now than it would be if you leave it and allow it to harden or stain the material it’s on.

Use Your Dishwasher Wisely

A lot more can go into your dishwasher than just plates and cutlery. You can toss children’s toys, certain pieces of sports equipment, grooming tools, and more into it for a quick and easy deep clean.

Use Lemons in the Microwave

Did food splatter or explode in your microwave? Put the juice of one lemon and the rinds in a bowl of water and microwave it for three minutes. Once the time runs out, let the bowl sit in the microwave for an extra five minutes, then remove it and see how easily formerly-stuck-on food wipes away.

Melt Stickers Away

As a parent, you sometimes walk into the room to see the kids redecorating with stickers. Rather than waste a lot of time trying to peel them off the wall, simply use a blow dryer to melt the adhesive and peel them off with ease.
