Having a modern all-white bathroom is something a lot of people aspire to have — but boy are they hard to maintain. With stains, dust, and mold easily seen, cleaning these beauties can be a long and strenuous process. Luckily, some hotels are willing to spill their secrets on how they keep their white bathrooms sparkling.

Seal During Remodel
If you’re thinking about a remodel or are in the midst of one, remember that sealing white marble is key. This can prevent stains, nicks, and any type of water marks from settling. If your current white marble isn’t looking so clean, strip it, polish it, and seal it again. This can be done once a year if yours isn’t shining the way it should.

No Bleach
Using bleach in a bathroom is common in households, but it’s a practice that should be abandoned. The chemicals in bleach can eventually damage the surfaces in your bathroom if it’s used frequently enough. However, if you must use bleach, use it in small and specific areas. For scuffs and other marks, try sponges and non-abrasive removers like the Magic Eraser.

Floor Care
A quick sweep just won’t do in an all-white bathroom. Every dust bunny and piece of hair will be noticeable so it’s important to vacuum the floors every couple of days. After the vacuuming is done, use a sweeper to clean the floors. This will ensure that your floors will be cleaner and remain so for much longer than if you were to simply sweep with a broom.
