The Simple Way To Clean A Gas Stove Top

Dirty Stovetop
|

The surface of a gas stove top can go from clean to filthy in a matter of minutes. Between overflowing pots of boiling water, the splattering of sauces, and a buildup of excess seasonings, messes are plentiful. Luckily, there’s a simple way for you to clean your gas stove top.

Step 1: Gather your materials before you start cleaning. You’ll need some white vinegar, dish soap, a brush for scrubbing, and rags/paper towels. Once you’re prepared, you can begin to take off the metal grates and place them in a bath of hot and soapy water.

Step 2: Take your brush and loosen up some of the larger crumbs and scraps. Wipe off all of this burned food with a rag.

Step 3: Fill a spray bottle halfway with white vinegar and the remaining half with water. Spray the stove top, back panel, and the burner knobs so that they are completely covered with your natural cleaning solution. Allow your cleaner to sit for a few minutes before moving on.

Step 4: Take your small brush out and pour on some dish soap. Rub your brush in circular motions over any stains or burned food to try and remove them. Repeat this process until the entire stove has been cleaned of all of its messy stains. Take a damp rag and wipe away the mess until the stove is completely clean.

Step 5: Take off the burner caps and add them to the hot, soapy bath that your grates are currently taking. Now take off the burner heads and scrub these by hand to remove any buildup of grime; utilize a pin if you need to scrape away anything that’s stuck. Vacuum out the burner areas before putting the burner heads back in place.

Step 6: Remove each grate and burner caps from the water and scrub them each with a soapy brush until they are clean. Dry them off and place them back in their respective homes.
